Dear {NAME},
I have been sitting with what struggling in my marriage looks like from the inside, where nobody else can see the particular weight of it, only the two people carrying it.
There is a passage in Genesis, chapter 32, where Jacob wrestles through the night with a stranger and will not let go until he is blessed. He comes away limping. I have always noticed that the text does not say the wrestling was a mistake, or that a better man would have avoided the fight.
